Intumescent Coatings used as alternative thermal barriers for spray foam are applied on site, normally by spray foam applicators, in order to meet Code requirements for fire protection of the underlying spray foam.

Being a field applied product we are often asked by Code Officials to provide a means for them to verify the installation. Things like what material was used, how thick was it installed or is it certified are easily answered for material made in factories, as they usually have a stamp or label identifying such, but how do you answer that for products sprayed in the field.

This guide helps answer the questions and provides the methods and tools needed to successfully document the installation of DC315 for your Code Official, we recommend checking it out!
