Rating for the Fire Resistant Sheathing: 15 minutes Conforming to: Alberta Building Code 2006 Volume 2

DC363  Intumescent coating applied to 3/8 inch OSB board at 15 mils wet achieves a fire
resistance rating of 15 minutes when tested in accordance with CAN/ULC102 and CAN/ULCS101/
ASTM E-119 “Fire Endurance Tests of Building Construction and Materials” Test was done by Intertek
1500 Brigantine Dr. Coquitlam, BC V3K 7C1 is a certified, independent laboratory.

DC363 can be used on the interior garage walls to comply with Division B 9.35.4.1 (2) (c) of the Alberta Building Code. Fire endurance of DC363 on OSB is equivalent to ½ inch gypsum board. At the discretion of code officials it may be used on the exterior of exposing building faces to comply with Division B 3.2.3.7 (3) of the Alberta Building Code.

Application Equipment:  DC363 can be applied by brush, roller or airless sprayer.
Brushing:  Use top quality polyester/nylon blend brushes such as those supplied by Purdy, Wooster, or equivalent.
Rolling:  3/8” polyester blend nap roller covers generally work well.

Spraying: Pump: (Graco) For best results use a piston pump airless sprayer,  with a minimum 1GPM rating at 3000psi.

• Tip: 526 - 529, or equivalent.
• Filter: 60 mesh
• Hose: Use minimum size of 3/8” airless spray line for the first 50’ from pump.
• Use of a dedicated spray line is required.
